According to Dr. Ioan Coman, from the Romanian Society of Cardiology, fats are those that cause most cardiovascular illnesses. It recommends as a first step, reducing consumption of saturated vegetable fat, which serve to reduce blood cholesterol.
World Health Organization advises us all to ensure that:

Saturated animal fats are also called bad fats, they are found in red meat, dairy products like butter, cream cheese, in pastry, biscuits. From eating these foods in high quantities results high cholesterol and cardiovascular illness.
Good fats, mono and polyunsaturated vegetables, are effective elements that prevent heart disease. Poor fish, vegetable oils, spreadable margarine, peanuts, pistachios, seeds, are foods high in fats and unsaturated fatty acids Omega 3 and Omega 6, important for a healthy heart.
